Root ADW Launcher Question

Hey everybody, wasn't sure where to post this, but I am asking specifically about the Op V so hopefully this is right.

Anyways, I'm running an Op V with BACKside IHO CM7. I know that when I flashed the rom, ADW launcher was also installed, and that's great. But I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to ADW Launcher EX? Or, do I already HAVE the EX version and not know it? Idk which version of ADW is installed with the rom, I just assumed it was the free version. If someone could give me the pros/cons of the EX version, I'd really like that, otherwise I don't know if it's worth paying 4 dollars for just a launcher when the one I have is pretty decent.

The version included with BACKside is the standard "ADW Launcher", which is open sourced (source code freely available). The paid version you speak of, called ADW EX (which I and several other users around here use), is not open source, and has the following different features. Note that this may not be all inclusive as I'm trying to remember all the differences.

5 different app drawer styles/behaviors
3D Nexus one like applications drawer
2 different plain vertical applications drawers styles
2 different Iphone like horizontal applications drawers
Different desktop transitions (navigating through your desktop screens)
Icons configurations/look and feel. Tweak desktop icons, change sizes, add colored backgrounds, change font size, colors, etc.
Fast presets mode. Allows you to quickly change the whole desktop configuration with 1 click.
Editable icons for apps, shortcuts, and folders.

If memory serves me correctly, I believe the developer wished for ADW EX to not be open source because some of his coding was being used to develop other apps, and he wasn't receiving credit for the code origins...nor were some of those that were using his code cortributing to his or other open source projects.

Anyhow, it's worth the money in my book! :cool:
