Help adw launcher widget question

I recently purchased adw and I am having some widget trouble. When I try to add a twitter or friend stream widget to a home screen it just adds an icon instead of the full screen program

You can't use HTC widgets with ADW. You will have to find after-market widgets in the android market.

There is a really good one for twitter called Colorized Widget. It has twitter, facebook, agenda, messaging, and a few other options.
