Root Adware in ROMs?

I've been running KaosFroyo for about a week now, and aside from some minor bugs im relatively happy with it. My question is, all of sudden when i have a completed a call a full page ad pops up. this also seems to happen more and more when i wake up my phone. Is this the ROM or something else running in the background im not seeing?

Can't say that I've seen that happen, and I've been running KF for about a week too...

I'd pop open Titanium and look for any questionable apps....
