[Hide]I would really like luck based skills for will power.instead of magic unification.
however, the major problem with choosing an android is the automatic will power set to 3

so instead, both humans and androids can have body 〓3 and androids have intel and charm while humans have agility and strength defaults [/Hide]

I like that.

Are revolvers/pistols usable in melee (i.e. no minimum range)?

[Hide]revolvers can be shot point blank you can also pistol whip

Going to add a luck divine magic skill and drop the base attribute for android willpower to 0 and human body to 0, I will add 3 to the pool of points to distribute to keep the total points the same, you feel free to amend your characters if you need.

You mean luck like a Willpower skill, or as a spell school?
[/spoiler]

Spell school but I think I am going to revise to allow Androids to use divine if they take a divine universal skill that will allow the option for an arcane/divine character. The castor can use the luck spell on anyone's previous action (player's last post) just quote and type luck.

I am wondering how rolls are going to work. I think thinking each player declares their actions I provide difficulty and the next post by that player will be the roll otherwise I could just decide pass/fail by looking at post ID not that I would but I want it to be fair.

One last clarification in this post, spells per day are game day not real life day ;) I am sure someone would eventually get that mixed up.

Great, I get to redo my character yet again! LOL!

We going to see if a kind mod will delete a bunch of these posts (after the Character sheets) when the time comes?

What attribute would Engineering skill use? Int?

Also, Schools of magic like conjuration (fire) could create a defensive wall of fire? Or a forcefield type wall with evocation? I'm just basically asking if those schools can be used offensively and defensively both.

Okay updated magic once again. I think that is enough revisions for now. Nothing more than has been talked about already but made the changes to allow androids use of divine magic with the divine universal skill, same restrictions as humans with arcane.

Sorry missed posts. I don't know if we will bother mods to delete these posts, it doesn't really matter to me...engineering like driving a train? ;):p agility perhaps otherwise
(not train related) I would guess intelligence :D

Yeah I was thinking like some sort of hardware knowledge sort of thing, maybe electronic type stuff. Help me figure that one out :) Engineering wasn't the right term.

Electronic type stuff isn't official enough for you? Seems like it would be a very broad skill :p I would say Electronics should work for that ;)

Broad vs narrow skills
Broad skills will be useful for more general checks but will not help lower difficulty say you are trying to root your phone you have a broad skill (hacking) it may be a difficulty 10 if you have a narrow skill (rooting) it may be a difficulty 5. This being said if you are trying to hack into EarlyMon's blackmail pictures folder on his hard drive the hacking skill will help while your rooting skill would be useless

@marc
Strength is physical strength it would affect how hard you punch, or if you can knock down a door with brute force.
Agility affects your ability to dodge attacks as well as ranged attacks
Body is health of your character and any natural armor
Charisma is your personal effect on others, it would affect trying to charm other
Intelligence is book smarts and basis for arcane magic
Willpower is the basis for divine magic as well as your ability to resist temptation

Give a "character" as a post title to your character profile posts for better visibility
(Check 9to5 and my posts )

EDIT: Wow, I was daleked yet again...

I made my character. I think I did everything right. Also for the non combat skills, does willpower and intelligence have their own magic or is it the same skill?

@marc
It looks like Int. governs one branch of magic and Will. the other. You might want to add in what types of magic your android specializes in though. Karandpr has healing and necromancy for example.

@marc
[Hide]slight errata marc ,
Your hp is 28 (4x(charisma+body))
And androids don't need magic skills for arcane magic
Plus you can have only 12 skills (2xprimary skill)
If you want to do divine magic ,you need an extra skill point and it needs to be upgraded as is.
By your charcter profile ,you are more suited as non magical human like 9to5...
[/spoiler]

[Hide]
No and yes
Androids are natural arcane magicians and they can have basic spells without using skill point.
However if they have to be divine magicians ,
I mean they need divine magic skill.

Humans can use either arcane or divine magic.
But they need to use arcane magic skill

Arcane needs intel ,five and above
Divine requires will power five and above .
