I walk on the exact same path as Sparky, following a few steps behind.

I have a question about the abjuration spells, if a spellcaster casts a spell can I then try to dispell/counterspell/absorb it, or would I have to declare that first? What if you say the attack lands but I haven't taken my turn yet because I am away? Could I say I tried to do that and see if it works?
 
Since I upped my primary attribute by one, am I able to add skills, or do I need to "learn" them in the game?"
 
We can make it work like that, their success vs your attack. I would be tempted to ask to see T'res's swords and then disenchant them for a short period of time...:p...back to your idea if it fails that would be your action for the turn and you would lose the charge(s)

You can now see the ruins, there appears to be a group of 10 or so zombies wondering around...these obviously aren't the malnoursed ones...they haven't noticed you..there is also a small lake about 100 yards to your right (still plenty of distance from the zombies) Mimzy is running towards it.
 
"Hmm, looks like Mimzy is hungry. How do you want to do this? Just start shooting and casting, and switch to swords and pistols if they get close?"
 
Mimzy dives in the lake and then almost right after going under water comes out with a large turtle. He drags it over to you and says "Nyu nyu nyu..."

The translator says "aaaaaaaaaaaddkkkkzzzzzerrzeeeewewiiappfjghhhgpl..." then goes silent
 
"I could put a ring of fire around them if they notice us, zombies don't like fire. But that would just keep them at range for a bit, it doesn't last forever."

lololol! Awesome! I LOL'ed pretty good after reading that.
 
The translator makes a loud high pitched "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" then goes silent mimzy is trying to get it off now...and the zombies are looking your way...
 
"Alright, well let's kill some zombies." Lies down prone, calculates distance and wind, adjusts scope, aims, and fires at the head of the biggest one.
 
I create a ring of fire around the zombies.

4 charges, let me know how many rounds that would last and how much damage they would take to walk through it.
 
It is dependent on size. since you were going for all 4 charges would be a 20 foot diameter ring 1-10 damage + intelligence if they walk into it for 1 round, you caputured 3 in it
 
How many zombies are there? And can I choose to make it last longer rather than be bigger if I choose to in the future?
 
10 total, and yes you can change that later if you cast it again 1 charge gets you a 5 foot radius that lasts for 1 round doing 1-10 damage, you can expand radius by 5, duration by 1 round, or damage by 10 per extra charge.

It was area affect so I just gave you as many as you rolled ;) had you rolled a 10 they would all be burning soon
 
Sorry, I've been away, but I don't think you guys have needed me until now, unless I pull a Cain special and roll a super 0 ;) Or a sparky special now too ;D

Cain looked cocky after seeing Sparky miss his shot so cain takes a shot at a zombie and fires he misses and can't tell where the bullet went...Meanwhile approx 2 miles away a guy is walking home from the store drinking a 40 when suddenly the 40 is struck by a bullet and shatters...this man just spent his last bit of money to buy this 40 so he decides to give up and commit suicide...his body will be found by the authorities in 2 days...Good shot Cain...killing by proxy.
 
The zombies are rather easy opponents here if you ever make it into the ruins there are other undead that may be a little more difficult but the only challenge these guys present is they move you guys just suck at rolling :p

Mimzy has finished the soft parts of the turtle and is beginning to eat the shell...

the 3 zombies in the ring of fire walk into the ring and burn up

How close are the zombies in relation to the party?
 
No, my shot (a 90) got the criminal. Your guy was about to make drunk love with a prostitute and impregnant her with the savior of the world before you intervened. ;)
 
I dunno close enough that they will get here in the next round or 2 you could move into melee combat if you wanted.
