new user here, so i got a droid from a friend today and activated it no problem, worked and everything. the only thing was that all of their stuff was on it, contacts, apps, etc. so i did a factory reset, after factory reset it says i need to activate the phone, so i call the activation number and it said it is activated succesfully but it is not. i called vz and they said they couldnt do anything for me and that it was a software problem and that i would need to get a new phone. any help would be appreciated, im out of a phone now so i need to figure this out ASAP! thanks in advance.

you have to call your carrier and they will give you numbers in put in manually i had to do this on verizon.....hopes this helps

How long have you waited? some people saw it work immediately, some people had to wait 15 minutes, some...several hours.
Seeing as Christmas was just a day ago, you can bet your arse that there were a lot of activations going on - try waiting for a day or so and seeing what happens.
