Root After flashing rom...

Just installed Cyanogen 7 on my Desire.

Kinda stuck as to what to do now.

None of my apps from before are here, and I can't see any market app to install them again; nor can I see any facebook or twitter apps, anything like that?

Have I totally missed the point somewhere?

And the camera and gallery are totally different to what I was expecting/used to

i think cyanogen doesn't have google apps as standard, you have to flash it separately (look in the root users downloads sticky for Gapps.

i was also underwhelmed by my first rom experience mate. same rom as you. i then flashed a sense rom (leedroid) so it was more like the original, then to save battery, gave another basic rom a try (redux) and i love it at the moment. worth sticking with it in my opinion :-)

how do I flash the google apps Been looking to see if I can see, ending up just banging my head against a brick wall at the moment :/

oh right, just the same as when I installed the ROM? Sorry... I'm a bit of a dimwit :/

Up and running now. As I was running Launcher Pro anyway, I'm back on that now so it doesn't seem much different aesthetically but it IS running a bit smoother, bit quicker... and the battery seems to be hanging in there for a bit too.

Just wanna say thanks again to everyone that's offered help over the past week or so... couldn't/wouldn't have done it without the help!
