Help After froyo update, media issues?

So I update to Froyo with no problems at all. But the last couple days I have noticed that my Captivate won't play my loaded mp3s. I use doubletwist usually, but even the stock media player would not play my files. It was only after I rebooted that they were recognized and were able to play. I have the media saved on the the phone SD. Anyone else have this issue.

FWIW, I am also seeing that some youtube links say they cant be played, but it could be the 3g connection as I have not seen this on wi-fi.

Also, GPS is no better on Froyo than before. Still lame.
 
Mine does my mp3s from the SD card, but MyFiles will not read the SD card. I contacted Samsung and they said to do a hard reset but that is what they say about everything. They don't care that it costs a lot of time and usually doesn't work.
 
hard reset? back to factory settings? forget that. custom ROM for me if I go to that trouble.


edit: if i hard reset, does it take the phone back to 2.1 or would it stay on 2.2?
 
My mp3's would sometimes not play on my Captivate. It happened about once a day so that I had to reboot. Really annoying. Someone suggested that it was some kind of conflict with the Twitter app on my stock Froyo Captivate. I deleted Twitter. Haven't had the problem since (over a week ago)
