Root After much trouble

After much trouble, I finally was able to flash Harmonia using 4ext.

Now, since I have a ROM that I can actually boot, how can I return to stock?

I have HBOOT 1.58.0000, S-ON, Harmonia 1.17.

I tried the deodex/odex versions of the JMZ stock but it just stalls and doesn't install.

You may return to stock by getting S-OFF and running the RUU.

You don't need to get s-off before using the RUU, having s-off and running the RUU could lead to problems. It is best practice to put s-on before using the RUU by using a fastboot command.
It's true that you don't need to be S-OFF to run the RUU but you can and it requires no special preparation like locking the bootloader for S-ON users. S-OFF users can run any RUU available for their model and don't have to worry about the mainver and hboot downgrade restrictions that apply to S-ON users.

Setting S-ON with the fastboot command is not recommended for S-OFF users unless you are planning to sell the phone or need to return it for service in 100% stock condition.

Please explain how someone on a 1.58.0000 HBOOT can return to stock while S-ON.

Please further explain how running the RUU while S-ON is safer.

Did not see his upgraded hboot, my bad.

This is why I shouldn't post on forums after midnight.
