Help After update, can't enter recovery mode!

The name of this post says it all... And before I updates, I unrooted, un lag faxed, un lots of other things. Now I'm trying to root my phone again through the one-click lag fix so I can get everything up and running again (I NEED barnacle to work), but I need to enter recovery mode, and no such luck... I've tried like ten times now: I hold down volume up, volume down, and the power button, but no luck... it used to work but not anymore.

Any help greatly appreciated

if youre rooted again get rom manager and it has an option that will boot into recovery for you

That's the trouble though, I'm trying to get my phone rooted but I can't do that until I can enter recovery mode. I'm using the included rooting tool in the OneClickLagFix app.

Update: used some terminal apps, and they couldn't get into recovery mode either.

BUT, success! For whatever reason I was able to get into recovery mode when I had the phone charging.
