Help After update issue..Audible selection not working.

Hi All,
This isnt really a big deal but it does tick me off. I updated last night (like most everyone else) and now my sound setting Audible selection does not work. I liked using it and now it is no longer an option. I bought my Evo Nov 16th and all has been perfect until now. Has anyone else noticed this? What do you suggest? I have pulled battery. I know its not a big deal, but its a new phone and everything should work. Thanks for the help:D

I haven't updated yet and I turned that off when I first got the phone in june...

maybe its not turned on by default anymore? have you tried going into settings and cycling it off and on a couple of times?
 
Yes i have tried that too. I just wanted to see if anyone had the same issue or had a fix. I guess if this is the only issue I have after the upgrade, I should count myself lucky. I'm always nervous when there is an upgrade, you never know what you will get. Thanks for your reply :)

Well it drives me nuts, because it worked fine before the update. Ive had this phone a little over a month and now it does not work as well as it did 24 hours ago. Lol I love when they "improve" things.
 
ok so I updated my phone. I am rooted and using a custom rom. the rom is stock based but is still a custom rom. my phone will make the sound when touching the screen so I think it should be working for the 2 of you.

I would suggest performing a hard reset clearing all user data. you can back up your apps with a app from the market like mybackup pro. I think there may be a 24 hour free version (not sure with the new market). or you can try appbrain and sync your apps online and then just sync them back to your phone after the reset. with app brain you won't be able to save any data.

and either way you'll have to reset all your email accounts.

but its not all that hard if your prepared, your contacts will sync from google.

I personally feel a hard reset is a good thing to do after a major update.

Thanks to all who replied. Well as of 500pm today, it just started working again. Lol
I was reading a book on my Evo and when I went to bookmark it, the audible selection(the click) was working again. Thanks again :)
 
Audio Manager worked for me to get my selection sound back......just play with the volume sound bars and it comes back..............weird
