Help After verizon 2.3.3 update 4 hour battery life.

ever since i did the 2.3.3 update for my verizon play i have averaged a 4 hour battery life with minimal texting and checking e-mail. i also get multiple force close errors while messaging and in message gets very very laggy. navigating facebook is also very laggy but that might just be the new app update. non of these problems exsisted before the system update.

i have cleared my cache for messaging and facebook, i also have a app task killer but nothing seems to help. it appears since im on verizon i also cant use the repair feature of SE companion. i know its not the battery due to recently purchasing a new one thinking it might have gone bad but still have the problem. i really dont want to do a reset on the phone so looking here for some suggestions.

I suppose you have rebooted the phone and the problem remains, either you can a faulty battery, or you have a app or system process that is using a lot of cpu/battery power.

If you install the free version of Watchdog, it will let you know which processes are using the most power.

If you go into the setting you can get it to monitor system processes as well.

Also make sure to turn off gps, bluetooth and wifi when you are not using them.

ill try the watchdog and see what it shows, i never have gps on, bluetooth only when im using my headset and wifi when im at home downloading apps or using the browser to make things a little quicker.

looking at the monitor system processes screen i see the following:
cell standby = 31%
phone idle = 30%
gallery=21% (which i dont understand since i havent used it since reboot)
android system = 9%
slacker radio = 8% (use it in my car and at the gym)
display = 2%
voice calls = 2%

i know slacker isnt the cause of the drain because i can unplug my phone after a full charge and never use it and 4 hours later still get a notification saying battery life is below 14%. i have two different batteries that im having the same issue, the original that came with the phone and an extra i picked up with a battery dock.

A reset might be best option... sorry. I have pretty bad bl on my 2.3.3 as well.
