agps problem

Please help a clueless girl out. I finally rooted and I'm running dc 2.08.1
I am located in Raleigh and weather shows me in Charlotte as well as movies. I have wiped my phone and started over twice but it's still the same. When I first open google maps it also shows my location as Charlotte but if I hit my location it will eventually show the correct spot. Weather and movies never corrects however.

I asked over at xda and was told that it is a problem with agps probably and the following suggestion was made. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I have no idea where to go to do this or how and wish I had not flashed now. Please help?

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

there is the gps.conf file. Extract it to some directory.

then open command prompt, type in:

adb remount
adb shell
adb push gps.conf /system/etc/
adb shell reboot

This will bypass google SUPL servers, i believe thats used in AGPS
location. See if that is more accurate for you.
