Root Airborn ROM

Guesst

Member
Anyone here use the infected airborne rom? I just flashed it and damn its sick! I was on soab for a while, then eternity, but I must say the airborn hands down I think takes the cake as far as speed and UI, at least to me. They have to two versions I guess, the standard sony xplod ui and the go launcher, i didnt care so much for the xplod, but the one with go launcher rocks!! I just wanted to give some credit where its due, and spread the word! Its something new and different which i also like.

I tried it but found the rom brick city to be faster and based off the sense 3.0 gingerbread 2.3.6. Its based off the latest ruu leak from open mobile and running the latest radio that can from the original ruu leak. Also have IMO latest kernel made for this rom and its more stable and faster than airborn. Don't get me wrong air born is a nice rom to play with but to have a sense 3.0 and to run as smooth and as quick as this does. You just can't pass it up.

I have tried brick city that you mention, wiped all data including dalvik cache, but when it boots up, only a few seconds after recognizing the Verizon network, the phone shuts down. Did you run into this problem when you first installed this?

I like Airborne, but since you mentioned this on was better, I thought I'd give it a try, but I can't even get my phone set up. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

have you flashed the radios that goes with the brickcity rom. I never had the rom ever do this to me. It worked perfect right from the start. If you need a link to the leaked ruu radio let me know.

I'll have to try that one out...so to my understanding 3.0 is faster than 3.5?

This ruu leak that is being used was written for the bolt. It seems the bolt is going to be offered in Puerto Rico. So this isn't a port from another phone made to work on the bolt like sense 3.5 is . I know to get 1.4 soab to run lag free you had to oc it to like 1.5.
With brickcity its smooth at stock speeds and IMO made a kernel for this rom so you can oc and under clock this rom.

I did not flash the radio yet. Thanks for the link. I'll give that a try and see if that works.

Update -
Well, I tried flashing the radio you suggested, but I got an error that said installation aborted. I went ahead and rebooted and for whatever reason, the ROM seems to be working now.

Infected just put out an update for this about 2 days ago. Of the 6-8 different ROMs I have tried, this is my favorite. I've been running for about 3 weeks and since the update its much smoother.

update on this, i had to find out the hard way. the sony UI is NOT being used anymore. it got voted out. after download it will come with sense UI and go UI. its still a great rom been using it for about a week now.
