Help airplane mode

i put my phone on airplane by accident and now the home screen is locked and i am unable to drag it down to turn the airplane mode off, HELP

Try a soft reset: remove the battery for a couple of minutes.

To exit airplane mode you have to long press the on/off button at the top. This will open the options menu.

That works fine when the screen isn't locked. However, once the screen is locked, the top button can only be used to switch the screen display on and off.

The unlock bar can still be pulled down even in airplane mode though?

Yes, but for some reason the OP can't do this on their phone.
