Help Airplane mode

I'm in the Caribbean now and did not call Verizon about using my dinc2 here. I do have access to wifi.

If I turn on airplane mode am I safe that no calls, emails, data roaming etc will go on. Basically I want to use the camera and camcorder but do not want to incur any charges for using 3G

The hotel has wifi. If I'm in the hotel I can safely use wifi? Thanks Again the main concern is that when I'm around the island , I wouLd liketo take pictures but need to make sure the network is off.

Yep you should be fine, the cool thing is you can turn on airplane mode and then wifi and wifi will stay on but the rest (data usage, phone calls) stay off
