Airports.

I did spend about a year living and working in Hounslow, West London, and one just gets used to the sound of planes, big and small.

That sounds like fun, the interior looks beautiful.

Airbus A380-800
The Airbus A380 800 is a passenger plane made in France with capacity for 853 passengers in a single class or 644 in a two-tiered class. It has a travel range of 8,208 nautical miles or 15,200 kilometers. The plane costs $318 million. However, Airbus has just announced that it would retire the jet in 2021. The European manufacturer stated that with Emirates reducing its order, the program is not sustainable anymore.

Which would be all economy class. But I don't think any airline has had the Airbus A380 in that configuration. I did fly Emirates Airbus A380 last month, Beijing to Dubai, and then Dubai to London. There's plenty of room in economy. From experience it also has one of the quietest cabins I've been in. Also from experience the Boeing 787 Dreamliner has a quiet cabin.

You are a brave person whom took a flight over that big style of an air carrier, looks so beautiful.

When I was a little boy, I used to live near JFK international during the years they had the SST Concord. The BOOMS would cause dishes to fall and scare me as a kid.

I did read that Boeing is retiring the 747 as well. So everything from now is really twin jets only. I've not seen a tri-jet plane for a long time, apart from in a boneyard.

I live five miles or so from an Air Force base. I'm not in the normal flight path so I'm not often effected. Years ago they had a B-1B squadron there and once in a great while they would practice their rapid deployment. It was awesome to witness for they were low over my home, fast, and extremely loud. They would rattle the entire house and everything in it. It was a beautiful bird.

^^ TL; DR

That sounds like fun, the interior looks beautiful.

I think you'll find one is a cinema, the other a Stairway to Heaven.

My best friend from age 13 has been around aircraft his entire life. His father was a Huey pilot in Vietnam, and continued flying them for air shows and demonstrations until retiring recently due to age-related health issues. I have the utmost respect for him. My bud is in management at an airport concessions company that runs all those shops with overpriced souvenirs and essentials. Because of the recent outbreak, corporate made two calls in two days: yesterday, all salaried personnel would get a 15% pay cut and 401k contributions would stop. Today, expect layoffs.

As experienced as he is and respected in his field, he's concerned that being the best still isn't good enough. It's tough watching it and being unable to do anything about it...
