every so often I get a notification that says Airwake, what is it and has anybody else gotten the same notification ?

I am certainly not getting this message, but I can only speak for myself
I got a hint in another thread to install AdWare. This allows you to check which advertising libraries each app is using. It could be that this tool helps you to track down the airawake message.
