Help Alarm Clock

So.... Now that my Epic has 2.2.1 on it (thanks to the Samsung exe) I've noticed a curious little oddity. My alarms do not go off. Yes, I did recreate them after updating my phone, and yes it's not on silent. I made sure that I choose the right days, and made sure it's repeatable, and loud enough to hear... but my 5am alarm just doesn't seem to go off, and when I go and look at the alarm in the clock, it shows it with zzzzzzz's. I know I have it turned up enough to hear, and it's no more than like 2 feet from my head.

anyone else experiencing this kind of trouble?

yes, I have a issue too. I finally got my alarm to go off, but now I can get it to shut off, or snooze to work.

I had the same problem. Go to settings, applications, manage applications, then click all. Find the clock and clear data and clear cache. That should fix it so th alarm works again. It worked for me!

Found out my issue... and you're not gonna believe it..

Again this morning, my alarm failed to go off, while plugged into the dock, with the Samsung Home Desk up. So.. decided just for laughs, I'd turn off the Samsung Home Desk and set the alarm for 5:30.....

Low and behold... it went off at 5:30.... I think that Samsung Home desk program interferes with the alarm, but that's just an educated guess right now.

There's an app for that. Alarm Clock Plus. While I like to stick with stock apps for simple tasks, I find that I really like this one for waking me up. Simple, clean, and has a nap feature.

The stock one has that. It's the matter that I use the Samsung Dock for my phone on my nightstand, which in turn auto starts the Samsung Home Desk app. Which in itself isn't a bad thing, but for some reason (don't know why) it doesn't allow the alarm clock to sound. Now... if I plug into the dock, then turn off the Home Desk app, everything works just fine. No need for another app to sap away storage / memory.

Silly thought... now that the sound does work through the usb port to the headphone jack on the back, I'll have to try it that way to see if the sound comes out there instead of out the regular phone speakers. Will get back with an answer later today.
