Help Alarm issue..

I have Samsung Galaxy 5. When you turn off the phone, it won't alarm. Why did Google built it this way? Poor design. I have used Sony, Nokia and Motorola phones. I turn the phone off and it still alarms.

I have the same problem with the earphone.

I think this is a smartphone thing, not a google thing. I miss that feature as well, from when i used the regular cell phones; but with a smartphone, it's like asking a desktop pc to play a movie without turning it on first.

Right, it's a smartphone issue but it's not really comparable with PC. However with PCs you can boot or turn on via network (WAKE ON LAN) even if the OS if off. So you see, if ordinary phones (cheap and old models) can do it, why can't a smartphone do it when the cost if 4 times more?
