Help alarm issues with htc hero

With my sprint hero I was having the same issue with setting it and not having it go off, i realized that i hadn't set the day for the alarm to go off.:D

I had the same problem and i was freaking out... but i think i solved it.... i went in the alarm and selected my alarm, another window pops up which is called the set alarm, i pressed on the alarm sound and from the side of the phone i pressed the volume buttom.... seems like the alarm has its own volume... which is not the ringer volume or the media volume.

hope it solves it :)

Mine's been waking me up every morning for several weeks now, it only failed to go off once, and I think that was due to me using TasKiller to zap tasks, I was having horrible lag problems at the time so was killing stuff quite a bit (seems the lag was a faulty app). I've since put clock into the ignore list.

Funnily Taskiller is an app known to cause lag :) try ProcessManager instead and use it sparingly. Andorid actually manages memory very well on it's own.

I've had this problem 'twice' (well...2 seperate causes anyway)

the first was the volume issue as I'd turned it down without realising.

the other was down to TasKiller app, even after setting the clock process to ignore...this also caused my HTC Clock widget (the flippy-over-clock/weather one) to freeze/ag repeatedly...since de-installing TasKiller and turning the volume up 4 weeks ago I've never experienced the alarm not going off, and I have 2 repeating alarms (a mon & thurs one, and a tue, wed, fri one) and also use standalone alarms where neccessary and have had no missed alarms since.

the main issue seemed to be resolved after the taskiller was removed, it was one of the ones off the sticky thread in here (downloaded after reading the barcode) so it seemed that resolved my issues, my phone isn't rooted or anything though so if yours is this might not be the solution for you.

Hope this helps.

ah ha.. i may have been killing the click with taskiller! i'll see if that solves the problem! thanks!!!

On my evo if you kill the clock process, the alarm deactivates and will not function. Same with mail too. I used a taskkiller for a while before i realized wow it really does nothing but hurt my battery and make the phone not work lol. Hope this helps.

I've had the same problem with my hero since the update. Also, I have another problem. When it does go off , it wont silence when you slide the screen down I'd say about 25% of the time. Even when I go into the clock and turn the alarm off, the alarm is still sounding. The only way to get it to stop is to turn my phone off. Anyone else having this problem?

i would have the same issue with it not going off and sometimes and some times it would.
my gf and i would have it when it wouldn't shut off. we would pick it up and it goes into snooze pain in the ...
