Help Alarm Problems after 2.2 OTA

Updated my wife's phone and everything went wonky -- terrible battery life, choppy scrolling, and the alarm was acting strange. So I hop on here and figure out I need to do a factory reset, which I did last night.

Everything seems to be acting better except the alarm. If you open up the alarm, set it for 8.00 AM 'Once', it sets itself for 8.00 AM for the current day. So, unless you're going to bed after midnight, the alarm says 'Alarm set to go off in 6 days, 18 hours'. Not good.

She's downloaded 'Alarm Clock Extreme' or something like that and it is working, but curious if there's a fix for this or if we're doing something stupid...

seeing the same thing. Also seeing that if I have multiple alarms, I can't select one down on the list. If I hit it (where I used to hit it on 2.1 to select it), it will just select the top alarm. I have to select ALL of them, then un-select the ones I don't want... VERY annoying.

Well good, at least I'm not the only one, ha.

Another detail, if I choose 'Everyday' for the frequency, it'll set itself properly and go off in the morning, just have to remember to turn it off if you don't want it going of the next morning...

I don't use the stock alarm. I love alarm clock plus app. (free). Lots of settings including auto snooze (important if you like to snooze and not get up to hit the snooze button) which the stock alarm lacks.
 
Gentle alarm is free from Amazon app store. I haven't tried it yet but the reviews seem decent.
 
Well interesting, I guess everyone is happy using the 3rd party apps, we'll keep using the one we have as well -- seems pretty strange that something as simple as an alarm clock doesn't work right out of the box though.

Nicely done Samsung/VZW...

Can't you just select "once only" under the repeat menu, that's the one i use.

I can, but that's when it sets itself for the same day. So, if I set it at 10pm on a Wednesday, for 6am 'only once', it won't go off until next Wednesday morning at 6am... There's no way to force it to 6am the next morning, Thursday in my example...
