Alarm sound does not work; all other sounds ok

My alarm flashes at the alarm set time, but it no longer makes an audible sound. I have tried everything including toggling between vibrate and not vibrate. Any ideas ? Someone else had a similar post, but no response.

Note all other sounds work inclucding rings and notifications.

Its an issue with the stock ROM.

Go to Menu > Sound > Volumes > and see if your alarm slider is down. I had that happen MULTIPLE times and had to check it daily before I just said "mreh.." and rooted the phone.
