Help Alarm won't stop ringing

Hi, is it just me or do you all have to manually turn off the alarm clock? The default one that you get with the phone i.e. If I don't turn it off then it will keep ringing indefinately. According to me, a normal alarm clock would ring for about a minute before putting itself on snooze.

Sometimes the alarm won't stop ringing after I turn it off either, so then I'll have to turn off the phone.

I've been having the same problem for some weeks now, the alarm rings and when I swipe down to turn it off it just unlockss the phone but the alarm continues to play until I turn off the phone. This is pretty annoying for my neighbors

Ever since i did the hardware update (2 days ago) the pop up to "dismiss or snooze" the alarm won't come up. Any suggestions anyone. I have to turn the phone off to stop the alarm.

I have the same problem with my HTC Inspire. I either have to restart the phone or go into manage apps and force stop.
