Hi all.i have this album art problem since stock 2.1.before i had desire i am using cowon player to as a mp3 player.album art of all songs were displayed correctly as per configured on my pc using mediamonkey.
Thus i transferred the songs into my desire and i had this problem. Some of the songs will take one particular album art.Even after i tried to delete away this art,it will always take another album art and most of the songs will have this art from then onwards.even after i upgraded to stock froyo and custom rom,it always have this problem.

Tried using the syncing method from mediamonkey also the same problem.

need some advice.
Thanks!

Make sure that there are no images in the music folder on your sd card, then grab Cover Art Downloader from the Android Market.

Then:

1) Open Cover Art Downloader and press the Menu > More > Clear all album art
2) Press Menu > Media Scanner
3) Press Menu > Fetch missing covers

You can now enjoy your music with all of your album art.

hi thanks for recommendation.i tried that..it works.however,i would like to use back my original album art from my pc..is there a way to transfer all the mp3 into desire w/o messup up album art?

From your pc you will need to use a program like musicbrainz, mp3tag or media monkey to embed the album art into your mp3 files, then reboot your phone or run the media scanner again from cover art downloader.

now it seems that the music players are the ones displaying wrong album arts.cover art downloader and mp3tagger are showing the correct ones but once in the music players, all the art are messed up.i even cleared data in the music app and media storage.

Use a file manager (astro, es) and delete any pictures from your music folders, then run the media scanner again from cover art downloader to let the music players see the new art.

Any time you clear data from media storage, you will need to reboot your phone. fyi, clearing media storage will also delete your playlists, and video and photo metadata. Using the media scanner from cover art downloader is a quicker and safer method.

i checked the music folder for any pictures..could not find any..
i followed the steps..deleted the particular album art from the songs affected and ran media scanner and whenever i played the music using music app..the picture reappeared again!!

HTC Album art problem
The album art is tagged in the mp3 file. If you down loaded from a various artists or top 40 charts album then you may have multiple mp3 files with the same album name so the tags get mixed up or just the first on to be found with the tag is recognised and that art is displayed. To differentiate between mp3 files from the same various artists album the mp3 needs it own name, not the name of the various artist album. this can be set by right clicking the mp3 file you want to amend. A dialog box will open with all the info about the mp3 file. click on the details tab. Then under the Media heading it gives the option to change the album name by clicking on it. Change it to the name of the mp3 file. All album art will now go to the correct mp3 file.
