album art resolution

I stream music to my google tv from my android using dlna.

Issue: The album art looks like trash on a 40" screen. I have tried finding a way to downlaod higher resolution images but the only way i can find out to do it is to manually replace the existing album art with images i pull from the web.

I have done this to one album to test it on the google tv. I replaced it on sd card/android/data/com.maxmpz.audioplayer/micro. it shows as the new file but when i stream it to the tv it still shows a compressed file.

solution?

thanks for your help.

Embed the album art into the music file using TagScanner. You'll have to do this for every music file, but TagScanner does batch operations.

I use mp3tag to embed the album art, similar to what the poster above me does, it doesn't get compressed that way. Album Art Downloader is an excellent program for PCs for easily finding album arts at specified resolutions (I've been using 600x600 for a while and it's been fine, although may need to add higher resolution album art with the 720p res screens coming).

Thanks For your replies!

I must be doing something wrong?

I used the mp3tag program to embed the artwork on 13 tracks. I used a different picture to check if it worked. These are the instructions i followed to do it.

How to Edit & Embed Album-art for your MP3s Cococokie’s Jar

I then deleted of my phone and replaced with the new using drag and drop from my music folder on my pc to my sd card.

When that didnt work I left the album file but deleted the songs from the sd card, then dragged the songs directly from mp3tag to the sd card. Still shows the old artwork.

Thanks again
