Root All rooted and everything is good but....

Thank you again, just to make sure...

this file is what I'm putting on my phone correct?

NumberTwo (#2) v2.7

Can I do this with a 2gb SD card or I should buy a bigger one before doing this?
Yes... that is the latest version of #2. :thumb:

A 2gb sd card will do just fine.

If your looking for the 2.5 version of #2 that I mentioned a few posts above, then go here...

I'm currently using the free version of ROM manager, seems like I have to pay for it to be able to use the "Use External Storage" option. And I need CWM Recovery to be able to back up the ROM also.

I'm broke right now, so I'll do this when I have some money available

You do not need money to do any of this.
CWM recovery was installed on your phone when you rooted. With cwm recovery you can backup and install rom #2. The video was done for beginners that are rather afraid of using cwm recovery.

I will try to find a video for this method, but I'm not sure that there is one... However I'll post back here if I do.

Well, I have CWM Recovery on my phone now, but the "Use External Storage" option is grayed out still does this mean to partitison the SD card?

The clockworkmod is free to download and is free unless you want the touch clockworkmod which is 1.99 now if you want the touch clockwork mod its cool check out the 6011. But the best touch recovery is th 2311.

I appreciate the links but that's not what I was talking about. I was asking why isn't the "Use External Storage" option grayed out on my settings. Because I'm not going to backup my ROM to the Internal SD until I'm able to.

What are u talking about they greyed you have to show me a screen shot 49491

See my shot show that its a format option i have to unmount my sd card to touch that section does that answer your question

I meant Open ROM Manager > Settings > and then you'll see a couple options down where it says "Use External Storage" that's the part that's grayed out for me.

It may and may not say that . But i will say once again . That once my device was rooted with clockworkmod being that i have had so many problems with cwm i start using the tr2311. So if u chose to use cwm uwill see it has many problems in small words between the lines use the2311 :thumbup::D:p

I couldn't view your video but here's an easy way for you to install rom #2.

---If you are rooted with clockworkmod recovery follow this video.
---When you first get into recovery using this video go to backup and restore and do a backup.
---Once backup is done then continue to follow the video.
---While in recovery use volume up/down to navigate and power button to make selections.

I changed to video to unlisted so u can see. The flashing the ROM part is what I get through and through, I just need to get through this issue with the "Use External Storage" option on ROM manager

Just forget about rom manager altogether. I never use that app to install a rom or backup. The best way is to do everything through clockworkmod recovery.

---Just place your copy of rom #2 on your sd card from your computer.
---Then follow the instructions and video from my previous post to backup your phone and install the new rom.

So, GameTheory do you use the internal SD to do a backup?
You can use either the internal or external, it's up to you... Whatever is easier for you.

Also when you get a chance save a copy of your backup to your computer, just for safe keeping.

You are right GameTheory, I'm going to get that 8gb SD Card before I do this, I put that backup on the SD card and I only have 70MB left.

Ok i seen the video and understand what your saying that's the way rom manager is made it stores only to your external unless u request for it to change it was a write up on this a while back users was complaining that when u perform a wipe it clears everything so u don't have a backup  what they did was make it so it would always backup to your external instead of internal . Now when u use the back up for rommanager be careful of the new problem it puts a folder called blobs and this folder has 3 to 4000 files they are junk files ... i repeat JUNK FILES . and if you look at your sd card space u would see the amount of space it has taken ..:banghead: this is the reason why i don't use cwm no more cause its a trick to keep the blobs off but if u don't get it u won't have a backup :eek::D
