Root All Things Root Guide sticky

If any members have info on a dedicated root method, recovery's, ROM's, kernel's, script tweaks, themes, bootanimations, etc. Just PM me and I'll see about getting it into the All Things Root Guide sticky.
It might take a while for this info to become available, but as it does I will put it in the ATR Guide.

Well, according to Soursage and Citric in this post: http://androidforums.com/m-plus-all-things-root/536449-root-recovery.html the root method for the LG Spectrum works to root the phone.
 
I had seen that earlier, that is why there is now an All Things Root Guide sticky.

It needs to be verified and then have a Tutorial written up by one of the M plus members so that it is phone specific. Then I can put it in the Guide.
 
I just tried running the lg spectrum root and recovery and it did NOT work. There were several lines of "error.\: more than one phone and one emulator" on the screen when i ran it and it did NOT root the phone. I ran it 3 times and even reboot the actual phone itself after it completed and still no root.

On the last "reboot" my phone hung and I had to reboot it myself.
Not that ROM Manager can do anything with my phone right now, but just showing you I've got SU

It would appear that it does in fact work. Maybe you could work up a Tutorial that is specific to your phone. I would then include it in the ATR Guide sticky.

Watch the Guide for goodies that I'll be putting in there. Links to all kinds of neat Utilities and must have Rooted apps.

Same thing happened to me. It was because I had another cell hooked up to the desktop tethering. Once I disconnected I was able to root the M+ using the Spectrum root, citric had mentioned in another post.....
 
Anybody willing to work up a little phone specific root tutorial so I can put it in the ATR Guide sticky for all the new members that come to this forum?

I wish I could. Unfortunately I don't have the phone yet. How bout any one of you who have rooted already?

Edit: had to correct a spelling mistake; auto correct thought it was a different word.
