If by "custom" you mean "modified for 4.2 to work at all", then yes :) The kernel is built from source with the rest of the ROM.

All fancy kernel features will come later from Dm.
 
The truth is that it's the HTC One V kernel modified to work on the Design, courtesy of Preludedrew of the Evervolv team.

As long as it works (: lol I like that phone it runs quite smooth. Or it mine just be sense 4 Idk. A friend has it. But I'm glad to see you guys are making progress.

it already does work on every rom available for this phone currently other than cm9/cm10 (idk about miui. never touched it... but i used 4g when i had this phone with the aosencep or w/e that rom was. you just have to use a widget to toggle it on and off

Well Reason I asked was since it worked on every build besides Jelly bean ones, and this is jelly bean, plus 2Fast flat out said he wont mess with trying 4g. So i was curious if they will be trying or not:)
 
C'mon guys. Let's show the new Devs that we have some class. Let's be grateful for their participation without bashing a Dev who most of us are probably still running some incarnation of his team's work...I'm just saying...if we're bashing one team during their period of dormancy, who's to say that we won't do it to another if they decide to take a hiatus.
 
2fast was there for us when no one else was so i got no ill feelings toward him and his team. Im just grateful we got two strong teams helping us out, even if one team is more active than the other.
 
Lets not bash any developer. This is a hobby, not usually a full time job. I myself have been on a two month break because of work. But Feb-Sep I'm available.
They might also be done with the device, you can't discount their contributions.
So lets please keep this respectful
 
While I wholeheartedly agree that without any devs we the users would really be out of luck and stuck with stock, I feel that much like we do in the real world that respect is earned and as such while we the end users are expected to to show grace, respect, and patience I feel that us users deserve the same. Seems some developers get a ego and begin to be shady when it's made known that they are needed. I as well as others know quite well that there is life besides android and our devices and even taking that into consideration I still feel we deserve to be kept in the loop. Busy lives? We all have em. Takes but a few mins to just come on and say "Hey guys making progress not forgotten ya wipo update soon" and actually follow through.
 
Is there anything I can do while on stock to increase 4g coverage I'm only gettin a tower every now and then but in in the bay area and iv seem people get 4g everywhere

Honestly I doubt it. And if those people are sprint that's because not all sprint towers allow boost phones to use there 4g and reserve it for the sprint users
