I have successfully rooted my Motorola Atrix 4G using the GingerBreak Method (Download to computer, run it, installs on phone, run it, roots phone). I have confirmed the Root by Superuser's existence in my App Drawer.
The main reason for my rooting is to be able to run applications that are not available on the Android Market. I thought that this comes with root; but, alas, it does not.
If I save the app on my phone and go to Files, I can see its installer. When I run it, it tells me that, for my security, it has disallowed my installing applications from untrusted sources, as per usual.
I assume that this behavior is normal, but I would like to know if there is anyway to make it so that I can install applications off-market. I have tried to allow them with SuperOneClick using both psneuter and GingerBreak with out any luck.
Please help.
