I can seem to get my captivate and ps3 to communicate. Allshare dosent see ps3 as a playback device.. Any ideas
Thanks

Has anybody gotten this to work properly? I've never been able to get it to work properly on my tv or PS3. Usually they will recognize the phone but won't play the files. Sometimes the files will play but then they'll disappear.

I got it to work properly connecting to a Win7 x64 desktop. I could play and control media from the phone to the desktop windows media player and could play media from the desktop to the phone.

Mine doesn't see the PS3 either, but I can get the PS3 to see my Captivate and then choose the files to play.

The phone would see my XBox 360, but I was never able to play anything on it.

Mine displays both behaviors. When I open allshare, my phone sees the XBox 360, but when I try to push the movie using allshare, nothing happens on screen on the 360, or if try to look for the phone and the movie on the 360 media libary, it's not there. On the PS3, on the other hand, I can clearly see the i897 with an android icon, and play the movie that's on it using the XMedia Bar without pushing it out with allshare. The phone however can never recognizes that we also have a PS3 device. Oddball behavior.

Hi...I have an international version Galaxy S here in the UK and am having trouble using Allshare with my PS3. I stream things all the time across my network from my desktop to my PS3, but neither the phone nor the PS3 recognise each other. Any ideas? Would love to be able to watch my high def recordings on my TV.

I have mixed results. May take a very long time to start playing, may not.

But I want something with more functionality than this app provides. You ahve to add songs one at a time.

But so far, everything else I'm finding (only found a couple others) do not work well either.

For me, AllShare sometimes takes a while before it can see my DLNA devices, and for them to see it.. I often have to wait a good 5 mins before AllShare joins in the fun. This is on a Galaxy S2.

Once AllShare has gotten it's groove on, all my DLNA devices can stream movies and music from the phone. The phone can of course also stream from the DLNA servers.

However, support for "pushing" files from the phone to devices isn't so straight-forward or widely supported. I can push files to my Win7 PC and to my 360, but the PS3 doesn't seem to support that functionality as far as I can tell. I'd love to be proved wrong.
