Root Ally Quadrant Scores

Just for fun...and to see what I could score...I tried it. Well, I only scored a measly 278.
I've read on here of other Ally owners getting 300 up to 525.
So, my question is, what would cause my low score...and if you guys wouldn't mind...go ahead n post up YOUR Quadrant scores.

Thanks in advance

Are you rooted? Do you have a custom ROM or kernel, overclocking? My guess is no with that score.

My highest is 592.

Oh yeah...that would be helpful if I included my setup....

Rooted
Velocity .3
Turbo 4 no kernel velocity
2.2.6.9 ..dunno if the numbers are correct..but, Dresl newest one
I avg.b70o

Yes. I am. I run it at, 474 I avg. 7.64 Mflops.
Just ran again...scored a 427. Would clearing up my phone and SD memory help me score higher? Any othe advice is welcomed.
I'm trying to keep myself from getting droid inc or X.

Is that your Quadrant score, maybe? Because 474 would be underclocked since the Ally stock runs at 600MHz. For example, I'm OCd at 768 MHz, and I typically get 486 to 492 as a Quadrant score.

My score: 442

Velocity .3
drellisdee's GNM_Turbo4_no_kernel.zip (found here) (so I guess that means I'm not overclocked?)
killertones' apps2sd

Is that bad?

I AM overclocked to 748 and only rock a 454 quadrant score...I guess I could start cleaning up my phone.

Do you want those just because either of those are extremely faster? The difference is greater than night and day. I had my Ally with velocity.3, Turbo4 No Kernel, Drell's newest kernel, overclocked to 787. I was getting about 8.25 MFLOPS and 550 on the quadrant score. It was still kinda laggy but i pretty much put up with it.

I then got my buddy's original D1 and added some custom ROMs and kernels and am now running at 1.1Ghz. I got my quadrant score up to 1650 and 15.5 MFLOPS, over twice as fast! This is just the original D1 too, i couldnt imagine using the phones that START at 1Ghz processor speed like the inc and X. If you have the money id say its so incredibally worth it.

Yeah....I've been researching asking questions and opinions for roughly 3~4mo. Now....its still a close decision (for MY personal pref. Of wants/needs n cool options). I have the x and inc. As my top 2 BUT th ere is yet another fast, big screen'd phone out that has root...ROM ect. support so...who knows when I'll ever actually BUY one lol.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Remember the days when a phone was used to make phone calls? Mine still does that!

I remember when a computer was just a big adding machine  ...
Anyways...I formatted my ROM, reset the phone...installed Velocity .03, Turbo4 no kernel, installed dres. 2.6.29.6 OC'd kernel, run SetCPU to set clock speed to 768MHz and....was able to score 502, 510, 498 in 3 back to back runs.

After getting kerel panic with the phone just idling. I had to lower the clock speed back down to the usual 749MHz. Ran 3 more tests..485, 476, and 480. I then installed my apps (roughly 10~12 apps I usual all the time). I still averaged in the 470's.

I found that the, "2D and 3D" scores were the lowest of the test runs to make up the score. I did read the prev. Posts and see that my avg. Scaores are right about where other Ally owners are...on average.

THX GUYS!

My best with velocity v0.4 oc'd at 787 was 516. In velocity v0.3 oc'd at 748 i got 566. Weird huh?

Bah this is on froyo with my latest kernel @ 825mhz.
