ALMOST got One!

After a LOT of coercion (LOL) from some of the more active members of this forum - I decided a trip to T-Mo was in order. Walked in

Salesman: "Can I help you"?
Me: "yup, I'm here to look at the M8".
Him "Today is your lucky day - we just got the demo in today"
Me:

Yeah - speechless when I actually saw it
Me "I'll take it"
Him "They're out of stock"
Me" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

They got 40 S5's and 20 M8's - sold out of both. Option 1 - direct ship to my house - 5-10 business days, It's not available for direct ship. He calls some other area stores. No dice (or M8's). They have me info - said that I'll call back every day. He said that they would hold one for me (sounds like something that they don't normally do),

So - thanks guys for pitting me through this agony of waiting!! LOL

That story had me cracking up, but only because I know the feeling.

I had almost the exact opposite experience on Friday. I'd stopped in to sprint a few times to see if they had it and they didn't. Then Friday I called and asked if they had it, they had one left. I got off work early and rushed down there before they closed.

They still had it... but didn't have a demo unit.

I didnt get it without being able to interact with it first. They told me it could take 3-4 weeks for a demo unit.

Today I went and played with one in a Verizon store.

Got off work early again, went to sprint, said I'd take it, and....


They wouldn't let me upgrade without the plan owner present...that person lives 350+ miles away...
 
If you buy it from your carrier's website it should come in 2-3 days and free shipping. At least it did for me at Sprint. Just future refrence I guess.

Very true! Ordered mine on Wednesday, 26 March and it arrived on Friday, 28 March via UPS. I ordered through Sprint.

You made me LMAO. You have to be quick with purchasing an M8. I think people who bought an S5 will be disappointed when they play with or see an M8 in the wild.
