Isn't there a new HTC phone coming out in a few months? I wonder if the screen on it will be amoled.

I, too, thought I would need the keyboard, and I don't. But I still love the phone, and I wouldn't trade it for one with an inferior screen. Also, the Evo seems bulkier to me because the corners are squared off.

I would definitely consider another phone, just not the Evo..for me..

I wonder if your talking about the Desire HD that was announced a couple days ago. If so then no. They are on Super LCD screens. They aren't messing with AMOLED. Even Best Buy has got some Incredible with SLCD now.

But the Desire HD is everything the EVO is with a few tweaks. It is a little faster because they gave it the new Snapdragon processor that handles graphics better and is faster then the N1 with froyo. Well, the desire HD has froyo but, point is the Desire HD is faster. Almost 2000 in the quadrant scores. It was leaked out today.
There was a Desire Hd dump as well today. They put it on the HD2. Video was pulled. Sure it will be back soon with how to do so.
The Desire HD has more rounded edges which gives it a better look.
No front facing camera though. And has the new sense ui on it.
I think HTC will pump this new sense ui out ( probably to the evo and incredible)after the Desire HD and Desire Z hits shelves.

Well the honeymoon ended after a couple days, I just went back to my Evo. The poor 3G performance was the main reason, I'm not paying 100 dollars a month for poor 3G performance as much as I love that Super AMOLED.

To me when I look at the EVO screen vs. the EPIC its like comparing my plasma HD TV to another normal non plasma HD TV in my house.
