Alright I have a creaky cover

I put the black/grey rubber case from AT&T on mine and haven't noticed any creaking since.

Are you sure the battery cover is seated all the way? there are a lot of little snaps around the edge that would probably cause it to creak if it wasnt on all the way.

also, i tried the black 2pc rubberish case from ATT. Not a huge fan, mine didnt fit perfecly together which bothered me and it also doesnt fit in the car dock, unlike the Incipio Feather case.

had the same problem. took it to the at&t store where i purchased it. they did not acknowledge the issue as it was not a "real" hardware problem that is hampering the working of the phone. called up customer service and they told me to take it to another store. they swapped the back cover for me and was out in two minutes.

So a new back fixed the whole issue? Alright I have to take mine in tomorrow.

I've played with several Atrix. Slight creakiness seems to develop and I think is unavoidable. It will feel very tight at times, but will inevitably give in to some play at other times. If you're sitting there squeezing every side of the phone looking for a creak, you're going to find one. Using small pieces of scotch tape can alleviate the problem.

LOL.

Seriously, though. I think there is a TINY bit of creakiness in every Atrix. It's in the DNA.

I took the back off and inspected it closely, one of the tiny pieces that locked in was slightly bent, I straightened it out and now it seems much better. I will likely not be taking this one back.

That said, please describe how you apply the tape, sounds like a reasonable solution.

the Black/Grey Body Glove case from AT&T is awesome. I've had a body glove case on my iTouch for 2 years and have had no problems with it. Being neoprene it is water resistant (as long as it doesn't go in the cracks) and it is pretty protective. I would recommend an invisishield as well which can be bought for $14 from their website

a tiny piece of tape right on top of those little clasps seems to help mine. you might want to add 2 layers to areas that seem to be creaky as well.

those clasps on the battery door are very small and seemingly very weak. not a great design.
