"alt" Lock?

is there a way to "lock" the alt key on so when i'm typing numbers i can type the whole string on the keyboard without having to hit the alt every time. i'm sure this is easy but I haven't been able to figure it out.

You're right! Just double-tap the ALT button. Same goes for caps lock with the Shift key.
