Root Alter time zone manually?

[DsyMnapTic]

I'm trying to change my time zone temporarily, I'm completely aware of the automatic changes across the U.S......but that's not what I'm interested in. Anyone know how I can change or fool the time zone into being somewhere else?

Have you tried this?

Yup, just did, lol didn't accomplish what I was trying to do...Oh well.

Ya, I'm pretty sure that you can't change the date on the Elite. That kind of critical information is clearly far too important to be left at the hands of users.

If you edit time_t you can change the time on the device (and also forcing it to have a static date that's not in the 80's) manually, but the problem is that this edits the system time prior to adjusting to current local time automatically once the device has signal, which may actually cause it to fail to boot up at all. If what you're looking for is to display multiple timezones (home and where you'e at), I suggest looking into this app.
