Help alternative lock screen (note 2)

I updated my galaxy note 2 last week and now I get a weird alternative lock screen that rarely pops up and I have no idea how to get it to stay up.
My questions are how do you activate it meaning how do you trigger it and is there a way to deactivate it?
I looked at other site before posting and did not see this anywhere. Here is the one picture I managed to get due to the fact it only last give or take 5 seconds.

It seems I cant upload a pic. Well it is a screen thats like a dark blue with an odd light in the middle top and says the time with dat underneath then it shows a msg emblem call emblem and a battery life emblem

Did you download a 3rd party lockscreen app or an app that has an integrated lockscreen alternative?

It sounds like Quick Glance. Put your phone flat on a table, wait a couple of seconds & then put your hand over the top (where the sensors are) for a second.

Yup, that's Quick Glance. You can find it in Settings > Motion > Quick glance. Then you can change some of the options while you're in Motion, scroll down to Advanced settings > Quick glance.

nlitenme already got u the answer, but also wanted to point out that you can take actual screen shots using your spen, rather than taking a picture with a different device.
