Alternative to SMS Pop Up?

Recently installed SMS pop up from the market, but once i've read the message and close the pop up, and later decide to reply, the original text has disappeared. Is there an alternative to this app?

handcent sms has the same popup feature but its also a complete sms app

I've recently tried handscent and chomp sms and didn't get on with either of them

maybe a soft reset might fix your problems with sms popup

i find handscent no problem whatsoever, unsure why people wouldn't like it, it is very easy to setup and works perfectly on the hero.
