Root alternative way to change prl

ok i got any cut working and its cool but i think you need to be on a stock based rom ctmod 2.5 for this short cut to work basically lets you shortcut to hidden menus
 
if it works it would be nice because my usb cable has about had it and wont connect to my computer anymore lol, been to lazy to go buy a new one
 
Did you try playing with the phone info settings

cant find prl write or anything similar. bummer, was really hoping it'd run.

changed preffered network to CDMA auto (prl) and checked again, still nothing.
