Root Always On Mobile setting in 2.2

Just out of curiosity, I can't find this setting. I have BB.4 and my friend has Froyo (not sure which one he's running, but I can't find it in his either).

Does anybody know where to find this? Its not under Mobile Networks where it would normally be.

I dont know what this setting is... what does it do.

They may have just changed the name.

All I know was that when people turned it off, for some people not much changed other than it would take a little longer for IM apps to connect and battery life would go up by quite a bit...
