Help Always vibrating when receiving messages

I cannot find where to turn off the vibrate setting when I receive a new email or text. I do not like hearing my phone vibrate when I'm trying to sleep.

are you using the stock sms app or something like gosms, handscent etc?

for general vibration
settings>sounds>vibration
that should also stop the standard messaging app from vibrating but if your using another sms app you'll probably need to change the settings in the app

Turns out it was a setting inside of Yahoo Mail on the phone. I would think all sounds would be handled by the device, not by the app.
