Can the boost mobile s2 run any galaxy s2 ROM?or only the sprint ROMs because I'm going to be getting this phone in a little while probably today or tomorrow
 
Only Sprint ROMs There are multiple Galaxy S2 versions and they contain different hardware. Flashing a ROM that is not meant for the SPH-D710 (which is the phone that Sprint/Boost has) is a good way to transform your phone into an expensive paperweight (can we say brick).
 
sprint roms will work fine just fix mms. do not flash other roms the partitions differ and will not work at the very least
 
Flash this .zip thru whatever custom recovery you are using for whatever ROM you are using. I've heard of this file not working for some in the past, but it has worked perfectly for me 100% of the time. So after you flash your ROM, flash this as the last thing before you reboot system.
