My Droid X has one small white speck of dust under the screen about half way up, maybe less than an inch over towards the middle (right hand side).
I can see it if I look close, I can easily see it if I have the screen off in the sun light and look for it. Partially because I know it's there.
When the screen is on, and I look very close against a white color, it just darkens that small area a bit. Sort of looks like a funky pixel, but again, very faint. Because I know it's there I can locate it easily, but you would have to really look for it. Once you know where it is, you can see it against the color white.
With that being said I'm a little annoyed by it, not killing me, but I know it's there.
Anyway, I found a Wal-Mart that had 3 X's in stock and they are shipping one to my local Wal-Mart for me to swap it out.
My question is, do you think I am making a mistake?
What would you do?
Everything else on the phone, so far, is flawless. No dead pixels, no funky buttons, nice tight build. Except for my pet piece of dust.
Obviously it will be a pain in the ass to reconfigure my phone, but whatever, I'm just wondering if I'm setting myself up for possibly going from bad to worse.
I'm sure Wal-Mart will let me examine the phone before I swap, maybe that will make my decision easier.
