Help Am I bricked?

Updated to the new firmware yesterday. I restarted it this morning, only to get what you see in the attached picture. I haven't done ANY rooting or customizing of any kind with this device.

The touch screen just wouldn't respond for the longest time; I couldn't unlock it. Then after trying to hold down the power/volume buttons in an attempt to force-restart it, it rebooted with what you see in the photo.

Is there no coming back from this?

You may want to run the battery down to zero so if powers down. Charge it and restart it to see if this helps brschneider.

Any suggestions on running the battery down other than simply waiting the week-and-a-half or so that it takes to drain on stand-by?

Not really, but I doubt it will take a week to run down if the screen is active all the time. There was a member of this board who thought he had bricked his with the updates, but once the battery had died he gain control of the unit again.

For those that have seemingly bricked devices, try letting the battery completely die and then restart your device. Mine was resurrected doing this. The update that originally crippled my TP seems to have been pulled.
