Help Am I crazy? (Text input)

I could have sworn that when using the hard keyboard it would auto-capitalize "I" and insert apostrophes. It isn't now. Someone tell me that I'm not crazy?

auto capitalize at the beginning but after that no and no on the apostrophes as well with mine.

Go into Language and Keyboard and see if there are any settings for the hard keyboard.

I guess I was mistaken, if you post from the full html page that text box seems to do those corrections.

There aren't any settings for the keyboard that I can find other than editing shortcuts. Hopefully they can add that functionality in an update.

I can't find any settings for the hard keyboard. Where are they!?!

The only settings I know of are Settings>Applications>Quick Launch.

It should be widget sensitive - things like text boxes for conversations, yes, unknown boxes for things like username, password, whatever like that - no.

Ok yeah, it is sensitive. But it does not work in the HTC messaging app. It does work in Handcent, and gmail.

Followup--There are settings for turning on prediction and correction, but they are under the touch input settings and are easy to overlook. Not to mention they are not checked by default. On top of *that* it does not work if you change your on screen keyboard to swype.

And after you do get it working, it still doesn't work in the HTC messaging app.
