Am I doomed? OTA won't allow update and I'm on a Mac with no Windows access?

Is there ANY WAY that is possible for me install the 2.1 update to a Sprint HTC Hero without a Windows machine? On the Moto Droid you can just drop the update.zip file in the root directory and hold some buttons.

I'm way out in the country using Satellite internet and do not and will not have access to a Windows laptop anytime soon.

What are my options??
