Root Am I Screwed?

Hey new around here. I've been reading for awhile now but haven't had the need to post until now lol. I've been rooted for about a month now and decided to finally man up and put a ROM on it. I went with Fab's ApeX 1.3.1 ROM which I loved. Only thing was it started acting kind of buggy today for some reason and I went back to just my basic rooted phone and still kept acting buggy. A lot of things force closing and just overall slowness. So I figured a factory reset and a reroot and reinstall of the ROM should do the trick. Only problem is I when I go to do the factory reset I get the message E: Can't open/cache/recovery/command when I go to do the reset. It says it wipes everything and I'm fine though. I reboot it and I still get the blue android screen instead of the Motorola Droid eye and it can't boot my phone at all. I get an error that I have to force close after it takes forever just to get to that screen. Am I screwed in the aspect that I can't bring it in to Verizon tomorrow because they'll know that I voided my warranty? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Sorry about being so long winded lol.

Wow that was really weird. I plugged it in and it just went back to the setup screen when you first flash a ROM. I want to reinstall it though from scratch. Clean root and everything. How should I go about a factory reset since it did not work last time?
