Am I the only person with a perfectly fine working device?

the only thing that bothers me is my phone will not accept incoming calls they go straight to voicemail, I can call out fine and texts work perfect.

That sounds like an issue on Sprint's end; likely a provisioning problem. I highly doubt it is an issue with the Evo itself.

Mine is golden. Battery life is actually... excellent. Web browsing speed is amazing. The only calls I drop are to and from my wife's you-know-what-phone.

Only problem is I keep finding a better, the better then even better way to lay out my screens for my particular workflow. Then I go to the app drawer and find another app I simply have to have readily available.

Swype made my wife's jaw hit the floor. I told her drooling wasn't an attractive look for her.

Mine is absolutely awesome. Couple of battery tweaks in the beginning and turned off some of the auto synch stuff. Got it mid Jun. Running 2.2. LOVE IT!

Nope.. no issues here either. I just said over on ppcgeeks that I dont understand what people do to have as many issues as they do. Mine is running flawlessly.

Love my phone. It can DO so much, and I have done a LOT to it :) I tweaked various setting to get better battery life out of the phone, but I'd say I'm a heavy user cuz I do use it like a laptop...even with my laptop sitting right next to me. I find a few things curious but that is it - it makes me curious why my battery is sporatic good/bad and a few other things that are interesting - but all the more reason to play around with the phone and the mroe I do, the more I discover!

I gotta try Swype. But I think it lacks the microphone and I usually talk to text cuz I am not used to the touch pad (long time BB user).

I have a build 002 from launch with last Fridays "unofficial" 2.2.

No light leakage
No Screen seperation
Battery is decent with normal usage
Kickstand is still solid
Scrolling is smooth
Wifi is fast (15mps at home)
3G is decent, (Although speedtest says it's not) but webpages load fast.
flash 10.1 works nice (after 2.2)
etc, etc.

Not really any problems here except I cannot do wired tethering and I had to reinstall Swype after 2.2. :D

Still, imo, the best smart phone I've ever owned.

Also, just wanted to say: Never installed ATK, if that matters.

Hardware wise? Yep, no problems.

But software, sure. I could easily point out a few problems that would be reproducible on your device. (Pandora audio quality, Google Navigation pausing music, bluetooth on Sense, etc)

I asked this question so many times and no clear answer. I'd like to know if people are able to view pictures in their HDTV with slidshow feature?

This is the only thing not working with my unofficial update.

Anyone with a clear answer once and for all?

I see so many "issues" here, and not enough praise for this phone. Am I the only one with a perfectly fine phone? The only "issue" I can see myself having is I have slight light leakage on my phone, but I don't even notice it because of the case. I've used it a few times without the case, and it didn't even bother me that much. That is the only hardware "issue" i seem to have. Everything else is perfect.

I am using CM6, and have had nothing but love and praise for Froyo.

Love my EVO, and so glad I made the switch (permanently) to Android. (ex iPhone user)

My phone worked great then i got froyo and my battery lasts 6 hours even on standbye..

How's your battery? Before 2.2 my phone was flawless, but now I get 6 hours to my battery instead of the 24 I got before. That is my only issue, but it is a big one.

same thing with me. battery lasts about 6 hours whether I use the phone or now.

My wife and I both have Evos without issue. One's ver 0002 and one's ver 0003 both shipped on opening weekend so not sure how we got lucky but happy we did!

Mine's perfect, too. Google I/O Rev 2, running the 7/30 leaked update. 20hrs typical per charge with mixed use.

I see a fair amount of whining about this phone, probably from those who would be happier with something...simpler? Love my Evo, love my rooted 2.2.

You are a on a user forum, its been proven historically that people are more likely to complain than give praise. People who have praise to give simply use their devices and dont post on forums.

So I would get over the "there is a $5 fine for whining" mentality because you are always going to see complaints/problems posted.

I don't really care much, but in terms of a perfectly fine, working phone, I got one. I mean, yea, I can get some of my fingernail under the screen at the bottom corner, but aside from that, I got no issues.

The only reason I'm not taking it in for an exchange yet is because I know we have shortages here in town. Until we get more in, and I know most everybody on the waiting list has theirs, I feel like I'm good enough for now, at least until the screen actually starts LIFTING off of the rest of the phone. Is rather not see my phone's innards.

I'm happy with my Evo! No problems at all even after the update to 2.2

Same here.

Battery could be a bit better (it went down after the update and I don't feel like going through each of my apps so I'll just deal with it), but I have chargers in the office, home, and car so I don't care. It still lasts me all day.

No issues for me. Running the latest release of Fresh 2.2, because I hated the sprint apps and I love messing with stuff like that. Runs fast, battery is fine, no light leakage. I love it!

Best phone i have ever owned, no problem with the way it was, but i rooted just because and I love it even more. Running Fresh 3.1.0.1 with not a single complaint.

My Evo is from day one launch and I haven't had any problems whatsoever with the device. The issues I did have were of my own doing and wasn't due to the phone itself. Sorry for those guys that are having some issues with it cause I think with like any piece of technology it sort of a pick of the litter thing.
The update was pretty smooth for me except I realized that it doesn't tell u that you need to turn on background data when it's turned off to get into the Android Market. Battery life is awesome considering I changed my battery to the 1800 version. As a matter of fact I fully charged it last night before I went to sleep and woke up this morning and it still had a full charge.

zero issues with my phone. I love my EVO. It is almost not healthy. I haven't used my laptop once since I got it. why would i? I was getting good battery life, 18 hours with 30 - 45% left, yet I still went with the Seidio 3500mah extended battery. Now, with heavy use, I have 60% percent left after 18 hours. It is nice not worrying about having to charge it every day. The only small thing I wish they'd fix is the 90% - 100% float charge issue that can cause the battery to be at 90% 10 minutes after unplugging it. I get past that by unplugging it briefly when i wake up, and then plugging it back in while i'm eating breakfast and taking my morning shower. After that, it shows very high ninety's without the quick drop off.
GO EVO! truely love this phone.

Oh, the one thing that slightly annoyed me was the weak Wi-Fi reception, but now, since the 2.2 update my wifi reception is WAY better. psyched.

Now, it is even lickety splittier faster with 2.2 FROYO, not that it wasn't fast before. Now it is just sick fast. 3d games like LET'S GOLF are crazy fast now. love it
