Help Amazing, beautiful homescreen for Inc??

Looking thru this forum, you see a ton of amazingly detailed and beautiful homescreens, etc.

Are these only available with rooted phones or is there anything I can do to get something like that? Are there apps/widgets that I can get in the market, or is this a rooted deal only?
 
The sticky that is posted above is a goldmine for getting ideas and making your home screens creative/unique. Probably one of the best resources on this forum for Incredible owners.

Custom wallpapers and custom icons can go a long way. Add in a UI program such as Launcher Pro or ADW and the options are almost limitless.

That thread is what made me make this post.

I have both Sense and Launcherpro. I have my home screens set up with the things I use most often, but it looks pretty generic. How do you guys get some of the badass homes I see in the above thread?

How are you customizing everything? What apps or widgets do I need from the market? I just dont understand how you guys are getting such custom designs.

I agree, but I just dont know how to make my own design. Not sure how to modify themes, etc.
 
Not to blow you off or anything, but everything you want to know is in that post that I linked to you.

I know it's fun to just flip through the 20+ pages only looking at the screens, but if you actually read the posts pretty much most everything is explained there. From apps to widgets to custom icons. It's all there, you just have to read it.


If you have a specific question about how to do a specific thing, we can help. But right now you are just asking us to sum up hundreds of posts :(

I know it's frustrating at first but you'll get the hang of it. I just got my DINC Wednesday night and it's not only my first Android, it's my first Smartphone! I have already modded the hell out of it thanks to advise and tips from this forum. I even changed my boot animation. The information is all here for you.

If you wanna be REALLY lazy about it, you could always just go to AppBrain and just download a premade theme :D

Everything you are seeing in that thread is pure creativeness on the part of the posters. I have been through that thread a dozen times and I don't think anyone on there actually used a pre-made theme from the market.

It's all done with custom icons, custom background, home screen replacements and folders. And of course, some imagination ;)
